Tornadoes vs St. Agnes

The weather was kinder to us over the weekend and we were lucky enough to see some of our youth teams in action. First up, it was the tornadoes who hosted St. Agnes. The Seagulls started off on the back foot with only a small squad of 9, and after a bit of confusion at the back, they saw themselves down 1-0.

On to the second half and the players dug in deep, Charlie Emmet-Wright scoring a beauty of a free kick 10 minutes after the restart. It all looked like the honours might be even, but 10 minutes from time Sam Davey cleared the ball to leave Charlie go through on goal and slot it beyond the keeper for his second goal, to give the Seagulls a fantastic 2-1 victory.

Charlie not only picked up a brace today, but also a well deserved player of the match award. Well done Tornadoes!
